It's been a bit since I've posted anything. Hope everyone is having a great New Year's so far. It is so cold here. We even have a chance of snow this week:) Yay!! We love snow. I had to go shopping this morning for some milk and flour. You know how crazy the store can be when colder weather is around the corner. It was really busy to say the least.
I've been cleaning alot. Trying to get things back in order from Christmas. I love Christmas....it truely is the most wonderful time of the year:)
Coffee is on and I'm making two loaves of bread. I would really like to make some biscuits and pancakes to freeze. Does anyone know how long they last in the freezer, being homemade?
I better go now....hope everyone has a blessed day!
"How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you." Psalm 31:19
Not sure about the pancake shelf life but love that this time of the year seems to call us back into the kitchen for some old time family cooking time of comfort foods!

I just read that Psalms the other day and it ministered to me so much--He is our refuge!
ReplyDeleteI'm always excited to meet other families that love the Lord and are striving to serve Him!
Thank you ladies! I love to be in the kitchen cooking...and I also love meeting others who love our Lord...He's the best!
ReplyDeleteLots of Blessings!
Love you and love hearing your post of coffee and homemade bread...
ReplyDeleteElizabeth- I love your blog! Your kindness, gentleness, and SWEETNESS just shines through! Like you, I love Christmas as well. I am busy today putting away all of the decorations.
ReplyDeleteYour comment on my blog about who you want to be in 2010 is beautiful!!!! I think WE ALL struggle with finding the balance of finding time with God and living our lifes. But, your desire is to grow closer to Him, and I know that is a prayer that is so close to the Father's heart as well!!!!
You DID win one of the free tickets to the ONLINE conference, A Woman Inspired. I know you said you wouldn't be able to attend because you are in school. You will actually be able to have a download and listen to it at your convenience! And, because it is an online conference, you can attend (if you like) at home in your PJs! :)
I will be getting all the details to you soon! Congratualations!
Hi Again,
ReplyDeleteIt has been awhile. I haven't been reading as much, but I'm trying to blog consistently.
Coffee in the morning is so yummy. Whenever you describe it in any way, I want to run in my kitchen and make another cup. I'm 5 hours ahead actually and usually have had my quota by the time I read your post.
We did lots of baking last week. I baked 4 loaves of zucchini bread and my dear hubby made 2 loaves of wheat bread. It was all good. I'm not sure about freezer life for bread, but I would guess 3 months.
Be Blessed!
Greetings, Elizabeth!
ReplyDeletePraying all is well with you! I have so enjoyed reading all of your kind comments at my place. You are so encouraging~ thank you!
